The Muddle & The Magic! It takes a phenomenal effort (and the help of one wonderful market lady!) to size up 700 students. But look at that result! To our donors: thank you for perfectly fitting 700 futures for school.

Dear Wonderfully Kind ODA Supporters,

Get ready for a massive wave of gratitude! Because of your incredible kindness, over 700 Cambodian students just walked through the school doors for another precious year of learning.

The government school reality here is simple: No Uniform = No School. But thanks to your generosity, that devastating equation has been completely rewritten. You didn't just donate a uniform; you gave a key to a future they can now unlock.

The Day Starts at 4:30 AM!

The distribution day was electric. Bustling around about 4:30am families were cooking Yum Bai(rice) and getting ready.  Long before the village heat peaked, the Secondary school grounds were bustling. By 7 AM, hundreds of children—who had walked, cycled, or hitched a motorbike ride—were already there. They weren't just receiving new clothes; they were accepting a ticket to their future!

Sizing up the Future! Bright faces and new uniforms—the perfect fit for another valuable year of learning. Thank you, donors, for making their school dreams possible.

Watching 700 excited youngsters literally flow through that school gate was a moment none of us will ever forget. Leng will be handing out the remaining uniforms to reach close to 900 students across two more locations in the coming two weeks.

A New Vision for the Village

The shy, deep gratitude from parents and grandparents was truly moving. Many never had the chance to attend school themselves, but they are now seeing the results! They witness ODA graduates succeeding, securing stable tourism-related jobs, and bringing reliable salaries home to assist the family.  English and IT skills make the difference.

This means more than just money—it means a new vision for their family’s future. Your support of ODA schools have helped them accept making that leap of faith and fit education along with assisting their critical subsistence farming.

The Official Hand-Off: A Symbol of Partnership! Local dignitaries and our wonderful Rotary guests were honoured to present the very first uniforms. With the ceremony complete, our dedicated ODA teachers then tackled the mammoth task of fitting out 700 futures for school!

A Logistical Adventure & Special Guests

We had a minor logistical adventure securing sneakers! We secured funding for all 700 pairs from you all, but the current border dispute between Cambodia and Thailand made stock acquisition more than incredibly challenging. Our amazing team, led by Leng, managed to secure 350 pairs and Leng decided to use the remaining funding to give extra unforms to assist needy students from schools near ODA Central and a remote village close to the ODA Kulen Mountain district ODA farm.  He will deliver these within the next 2 weeks, so that will be close to 900 uniforms you have kindly gifted.  Amazing result for even more needy kids!!!

The day was truly special, attended by the District Leader, the Commune Chief, and all present were blessed by a revered monk. We were also thrilled to host representatives from two wonderfully kind South Australian Rotary Clubs! A huge welcome to the Rotary Club of Salisbury, who have been uniform donors for many years and loved joining us to see their long-term impact in person, plus the Rotary Club of Modbury Golden Grove who are new to ODA and contributed and experienced it for the first time
